It’s raining men, or indeed reigning men, as we roll out the red carpet for a roll-call of royalty from rock, pop and the dizzy world of showbiz on our ever-popular regular shows this month. Big, big names, oh yes, are going to be popping up with reassuring regularity on Needle Time, My Vintage and My Mixtape through February. And those mighty musical males will include: the marvellously maverick Mike Scott of The Waterboys (Needle Time, 3rd February); John Illsley, bassist extraordinaire with Dire Straits (My Vintage, 8th February); the cavalier Carl Barat of The Libertines (Needle Time, 10th February); actor Frazer Hines of Dr Who and Emmerdale fame (My Vintage, 15th February); Mark Owen! – Take That! (Needle Time, 17th February); actor, dancer, EastEnder John Partridge (My Mixtape, 18th February); The Voice’s Ricky Wilson, flamboyant frontman of Kaiser Chiefs (Needle Time, 24th February).
