Vintage TV’s friends and viewers, Your Vintage is a celebration of YOU and the sounds which have shaped your life.
Hosted by Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon and BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Matt Everitt, we have been filming in iconic locations across London and asking passers-by to share with us their favourite track and offer any personal memories related to their song choice. We’ve also invited our fans to send in their own videos – and some wonderfully entertaining clips have been filling our screens.
The outpourings of stories, from all ages and all walks of life, have confirmed what we already know; music is a language we all speak. And, of course, the Great British public are never ones to shy away from a camera! Using a tried and tested format to give everybody a chance to gain their personal five minutes of fame, Your Vintage continues the legacy of compelling TV derived from viewers’ own contributions.
Liz says of her involvement in the show,
"When I was younger I thought I was totally alone in finding how much music could change my whole world around. After being in the industry, I know that that's the case for most people. Filming Your Vintage, it's been brilliant to hear everyone's thoughts (some hilarious, some very meaningful) on how music makes them feel day to day. Matt and I are having so much fun filming on the streets of London, listening to some great stories."
Your Vintage will be airing every week and launches on Friday, 5th September at 2pm (repeated on Sundays at 4.30pm).
