The multi-talented Brix Smith Start presents The Vintage TV Sessions with performances from Graham Gouldman, The Mavericks, Jimmy Somerville and Inspiral Carpets!
The second series of The Vintage TV Sessions launches on Thursday, 26th March at 8pm!
Brix Smith Start interviews an eclectic line-up of artists, including 10cc co-founder Graham Gouldman. Graham was recently inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in America, joining legends such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney. Having sold over 30 million albums and enjoyed eleven Top 10 hits, Graham is marking 10cc's 40th anniversary of their album 'Sheet Music' with 19 shows across the UK.
Joining Graham is alternative rock band, Inspiral Carpets. Formed in 1987, Inspiral Carpets gained success with the rise of 'Madchester' and reformed recently to continue their indie anthems, powered by the psychedelic fairground sound of Clint Boon's keyboards.
Jimmy Somerville of Bronski Beat also takes to the stage, performing songs from his new album which is set for release on 6th March - including a very special acoustic version of the classic 'Smalltown Boy'.
Finally, Grammy Award-winning band, The Mavericks, performs exclusively on The Vintage TV Sessions as part of their European tour! Best known for their 1988 single 'Dance The Night Away', which was at the top of the charts for ten weeks in the UK, The Mavericks are set to release a new album this year.
