Monday 27th April, 1.00pm - Peter Andre: My Mixtape

He penned a hit song to while away the time in the ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ jungle, but what records would Peter Andre take to a desert island? The former heart-throb popster and star of reality TV, now a performer and presenter, is in the Vintage TV studio putting together his ultimate song collection for My Mixtape.

Tuesday 28th April, 10.30pm - Neil McCormick’s Needle Time: Hank Marvin

The legendary Hank Marvin, lead guitarist of The Shadows and pioneer of a distinctive echo-laden sound, is given a place of honour in the Needle Time studio. In a fascinating interview about his six decades in music, he reveals how at the age of 16 with his first guitar he was introduced to a hip Soho scene. This was an eye-opener for a lad from Newcastle, and he went on to develop his trademark and unique way of playing, embark on an incredible collaboration with Cliff Richard, still a close friend, and produce a string of instrumental hits. And with a new album out, the creative juices are very much still flowing for this musician who has influenced some of the guitar greats.

Wednesday 29th April, 1.00pm - Anna Richardson: My Mixtape

The super stylish Anna Richardson has produced and presented a host of popular TVs programmes including ‘Supersize v Superskinny’, ‘You Are What You Eat’ and ‘The Sex Education Show’. And now she brings her talents to Vintage in a bid to wow viewers with her switched-on selection of all-time top songs.

Wednesday 29th April, 10.30pm - Live With… Katie Armiger

Hailing from Sugar Land, Texas, this young singer is enjoying sweet success as an acclaimed country artist. She already has four albums of chart-topping tracks under her belt, and we were delighted she crossed the pond to perform for us at The Crypt Studio. Her stunning set includes ‘Playin’ With Fire’, ‘Better in A Black Dress’ and ‘One Night Between Friends’.

Thursday 30th April, 8.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions

Veteran radio and TV presenter Nicky Horne hosts from The Tabernacle as another supremely talented batch of artists takes to the stage. Get the gig vibe from the comfort of your sofa with performances from Fairground Attraction’s Mark Nevin, Scottish singer Maggie Reilly, 90s hard rock outfit Thunder, and, from Ireland, The Young Folk, who are what they say on the tin.

Friday 1st May, 11.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions

It’s the usual eclectic and entertaining line-up of artists at this month’s Vintage TV Sessions, with the amazing Petula Clark taking on the hosting duties at The Bedford in Balham. She gets to perform too, alongside Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers, The South - formed out of The Beautiful South - young star of folk rock Jon Allen, blues exponent Joanne Shaw Taylor and iconic folk singer Ralph McTell. Tune in and soak up the gig vibe!

Saturday 2nd May, 7.30pm - Live With… Judith Owen

Bringing her beautiful, bittersweet songs to Vintage TV, for another luscious ‘Live With…’ session, is Welsh-born songstress Judith Owen, who has made quite a name for herself in her adopted home of California. The singer songwriter, who is married to voice star of The Simpsons, Harry Shearer, performs songs including ‘In The Summer Time’, ‘I Would Give Anything’, and ‘Train Out of Hollywood’.

Sunday 3rd May, 5.00pm - Maggie Reilly: My Vintage

One’s of Britain’s best vocalists, Scottish singer Maggie Reilly has lent her dulcet tones to international hits including ‘Moonlight Shadow’, a hugely successful collaboration with Mike Oldfield. But will any tracks of the enigmatic composer and instrumentalist of ‘Tubular Bells’ fame feature in the top song choices of this esteemed artist?
