Monday 4th May, 1.00pm - Anna Richardson: My Mixtape

The super stylish Anna Richardson has produced and presented a host of popular TVs programmes including ‘Supersize v Superskinny’, ‘You Are What You Eat’ and ‘The Sex Education Show’. And now she brings her talents to Vintage in a bid to wow viewers with her switched-on selection of all-time top songs.

Tuesday 5th May, 10.30pm - Neil McCormick’s Needle Time: Mike Rutherford

The Needle Time studio cushions are plumped up this week for a musical legend – the one and only Mike Rutherford of prog rock giants Genesis and spin-off chart-toppers Mike + The Mechanics. And the award-winning songwriter, guitarist and vocalist chats to interviewer Neil McCormick about how the departure of Peter Gabriel freed up Genesis, how the band felt invincible in the 80s, and how Mike + The Mechanics and ‘The Living Years’ brought a welcome change after the big arena pressures.

Wednesday 6th May, 1.00pm - Kierston Wareing: My Mixtape

Everything from old school hip hop, early Madonna and Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’ feature in the My Mixtape song choices of Kierston Wareing. The former EastEnders actress also shows her love of stories through songs, such as Tracey Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’ and Alanis Morissette’s ‘Ironic’, and reveals which Simon and Garfunkel classic gives her goosebumps.

Wednesday 6th May, 10.30pm - Live With… Ralph McTell

He took us by the hand and led us through ‘The Streets of London’ in the 1970s and went on to become an iconic figure on the UK and international folk scene. So we are hugely proud to present a live session with this English singer songwriter and acoustic guitarist who will perform songs from his extensive and beloved back catalogue.

Thursday 7th May, 10.30pm - Maggie Reilly: My Vintage

One’s of Britain’s best vocalists, Scottish singer Maggie Reilly has lent her dulcet tones to international hits including ‘Moonlight Shadow’, a hugely successful collaboration with Mike Oldfield. But will any tracks of the enigmatic composer and instrumentalist of ‘Tubular Bells’ fame feature in the top song choices of this esteemed artist?

Friday 8th May, 11.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions

English actor and Sixties singing idol Mark Wynter is on hosting duties to usher in another brilliant batch of artists and bands to the Bedford in Balham for two songs apiece: these are Gabby Young and Other Animals with their gypsy-style folk and rock; folk legends Fairport Convention; acclaimed singer songwriter Rumer; British blues and grunge outfit Kill It Kid; and bassist Glen Matlock of Sex Pistols fame.

Sunday 10th May, 5.00pm - Steve Lamacq: My Vintage

We’re turning the tables on consummate DJ Steve Lamacq, whose breadth of music knowledge is legendary, as heard over the airwaves over many years on Radio One and Two, and currently BBC 6 Music, as he comes up with his ultimate best-of playlist which includes cracking tracks from artists he has known, admired, interviewed and shared a beer or two with, and one of which he finds as scary as Dr Who’s Daleks!
