Monday 11th August, 2.00pm - Matt Everitt: My Mixtape

As a music journalist and presenter for BBC Radio 6 Music, Matt Everitt is a man with his finger on the pulse. But before becoming a broadcaster he was on the sticks for Britpop band Menswear. And here he is banging the drum for the great and the good of rock and pop with his top song choices. Iconic offerings from The Beatles, The Who, Bowie, Queen and Prince are all in his must-hear selection for My Mixtape.

Tuesday 12th August, 10.30pm - Neil McCormick's Needle Time: Lloyd Cole

Lloyd Cole joins Neil for a frank exchange about his musical roots, his respect for Morrissey, and a fear of being marginalized. Neil’s esteemed guest discusses embracing bitter old age, why The Commotions didn’t last, going solo, his latest album and what it takes to write a good song in this hour-long talk and music show, featuring Lloyd’s own exclusive acoustic performance of ‘Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken?'.

Wednesday 13th August, 10.30pm - The Janice Long Review Show

Erasure's 'Innocents' and Depeche Mode's 'Some Great Reward' are the focus for Propaganda's Claudia Brucken, singer-songwriter Kathryn Williams and music journalist Krissi Murison this week on The Janice Long Review Show.

Thursday 14th August, 10.30pm - Cheryl Baker: My Vintage

Join the effervescent Eurovision-winning singer of 80s pop quartet Bucks Fizz as she takes an intoxicating trawl through her top tracks and toasts the artists who make her head spin, from Bryan Adams and Hue & Cry to her all-time favourite singer and dream dinner companion  James Taylor, whose evocative ‘Fire & Rain’ transports her to a ‘Land of Make Believe’.

Thursday 14th August, 11.30pm - Vintage TV: In The Studio

This week a variety of quality performers, both veteran and up and coming, pull out all the stops for us in the Vintage TV studio, singing a cracking song each. So, sit back and enjoy American singer songwriter Kat Edmonson with ‘Lucky’, folk maestro Ralph McTell with ‘Peppers and Tomatoes’, alt indie folk outfit Stornoway and ‘When you Touch Down from Outer Space’, London-based singer songwriter Tom Hickox with ‘White Roses Red’, and ‘Cinnamon’ from the brilliant Marika Hackman among others!

Friday 15th August, 2.00pm - Louise Dearman: My Mixtape

It's all about the performance for actress, singer and West End stage star Louise Dearman as she picks a wicked selection of songs for her all-singing, all-dancing My Mixtape. Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Paula Abdul feature, along with 'Pray' from Take That, as she is a huge fan, Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror', and 'Dancing on the Ceiling' from Lionel Richie, one for her mum.

Friday 15th August, 11.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions

Bringing you all the atmosphere, excitement and intimacy of a live gig for your viewing pleasure are our Vintage TV Sessions. And we are very proud to present, from the brilliant Bedford pub in Balham, five more awe-inspiring acts performing two songs each. Taking the stage for our third sessions are glam rocker Alvin Stardust, singer songwriters Leddra Chapman and Newton Faulkner, Gabrielle of  ‘Dreams’ fame, and northern indie collective The Jar Family. Our own Toyah Willcox is your host.

Saturday 16th August, 7.00pm - Neil McCormick's Needle Time: Belinda Carlisle

As a Go-Go, pop poster girl Belinda Carlisle found worldwide fame in one of the most successful all-female bands of all time.  And the singer went on to achieve 80s solo success with huge hits such as ‘Leave a Light On’ and ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’. But the wild times caught up with her and she found herself having to clean up her act, she tells Needle Time interviewer Neil McCormick. She is now happier than ever and enjoying a calmer, more spiritual life away from the spotlight.

Sunday 17th August, 5.00pm - Richard Thompson: My Vintage

The Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter was awarded the Orville H. Gibson award for best acoustic guitar player in 1991 and a lifetime achievement award from BBC Radio in 2006. The long and diverse list of artists who have recorded his compositions includes R.E.M, Elvis Costello, Sandy Denny, The Pointer Sisters, The Futureheads, The Corrs, David Gilmour and many others. Richard Thompson OBE, who made his debut as a member of Fairport Convention in 1967, introduces his favourite 20th century hits, including Kate Bush’s ‘Army Dreamers’, Fred Astaire’s ‘Cheek To Cheek’, Duke Ellington’s ‘Take The A Train’, Nat King Cole’s ‘Route 66’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ amongst others.
