Saturday 12th October, 3.00pm - Broadway Bonanza: Annie Get Your Gun with Suzi Quatro
Our Suzi swaps her rock chic strut for a spot of thigh-slapping as she relives her role of sassy sharp-shooter Annie Oakley, star of ‘Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show’, in Irving Berlin’s epic ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, which Chichester Festival Theatre took on tour in 1986 before transferring to the West End and becoming an instant audience hit.
Saturday 12th October, 7.00pm - Neil McCormick’s Needle Time: Future Vintage
Neil selects a trio of acclaimed contemporary acts who will surely be tomorrow’s vintage to unpick the musical threads of their lives: Irish alternative rock quartet Kodaline, chart-topping American country music group The Band Perry, and award-winning Australian singer songwriter Gabriella Cilmi.

Ah, the 80s. When hair was asymmetric, shoulders were big and synthesizers stole the show. How we love to look back in envy at the awesomeness of it all. The perfect time then, we feel, for a spot of power dressing as we dash back to that delicious, decadent decade with a 6 hour, 6 programme special featuring the following evocative playlists:
80s Blue Eyed Soul (8pm); a new generation of soul and R&B-inspired artists from The Style Council to Hue & Cry: 80s Hit Factory (9pm); hit after catchy hit from the likes of Bananarama, Rick Astley, Kylie and Jason and more from the studio of super-trio Stock Aitken Waterman: Forgotten 80s (10pm); tracks we don’t remember how much we loved – til now! 80s Megamix (11pm); Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, Eurythmics and others in the ultimate 80s selection: Tune in… to 1985 (12am); chart-toppers from the year when days were numbered for the red telephone box and ‘Back to the Future’ opened at the cinema: Tune in… to 1983 (1am); the musicians making great waves at a time when seat belts became mandatory in the UK. Sunday 13th October, 5.00pm - Linda Lewis: My Vintage (and Thursday 17th October at 10pm)
She’s got a whole lotta soul, and now singer songwriter Linda Lewis of ‘It’s in His Kiss’ fame, and other funky favourites, picks out all her top tunes, in a line-up of legends and all-time greats, from Marvin Gaye to Jimi Hendrix, and reveals the song that accompanied her first smooch!
Sunday 13th October, 8.00pm - The Janice Long Review Show (and Wednesday 16th October at 10pm)
Will Janice’s guests – legendary music entrepreneur Seymour Stein, acclaimed new singer Josephine and music journalist Simon Price – like what they hear from The Jam’s ‘Sound Affects’, and will Alanis Morissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ pep them up or be a bit of a downer on our lively weekly album review show?
Monday 14th October, 4.00pm - Broadway Bonanza: South Pacific with Jason Howard (and Thursday 17thOctober at 12.15pm and Saturday 19th October at 3pm)
Jump aboard and sail with us on a glorious voyage to the multi award-winning ‘South Pacific’, a beloved musical which enjoyed huge critical and box office success and made waves with its exploration of racial prejudice. Presenter Lesley Anne Knight is at the helm, and Jason Howard, who played romantic Frenchman Emile de Becque in a US tour and at the Barbican, is our studio stowaway this week.
Tuesday 15th October, 10.00pm - Neil McCormick’s Needle Time: Dave Stewart (and Saturday 19th October at 7pm)
Our Neil has bagged another brilliant interview here, with Dave Stewart no less, singer songwriter, producer, collaborator extraordinaire, and one half, of course, of the Eurythmics, one of the most successful pop-rock duos of all time. He tells how it felt as though it was him and Annie Lennox against the world, how he has loved linking up with a wealth of other artists to make great music, and why he was drawn to Nashville to produce his new album.
Friday 18th October, 8.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions (and Sunday 20th October at 7pm)
Bringing you all the buzz and atmosphere of a gig, we are very excited to be introducing the first of our Vintage TV Sessions featuring an eclectic hour-long line-up of five up and coming and established acts – Cara Dillon, Mike Lindup, Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri, CC Smugglers and Stephen Kellogg - performing fresh new songs and hit tracks at the brilliant Bedford pub in Balham, and chatting to hosts Janice Long and Neil McCormick.
