Monday 18th August, 2.00pm - Louise Dearman: My Mixtape

It's all about the performance for actress, singer and West End stage star Louise Dearman as she picks a wicked selection of songs for her all-singing, all-dancing My Mixtape. Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Paula Abdul feature, along with 'Pray' from Take That, as she is a huge fan, Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror', and 'Dancing on the Ceiling' from Lionel Richie, one for her mum.

Tuesday 19th August, 10.30pm - Neil McCormick's Needle Time: Judith Owen

She’s an acclaimed singer songwriter, and married to Spinal Tap bassist and long-running voice artist for ‘The Simpsons’, Harry Shearer. And now the hugely talented Judith Owen gets animated in the Needle Time studio about her life in music, from her first album in the 90s to new offering ‘Ebb and Flow’. She tells interviewer Neil about working with her idols, including Joni Mitchell, how music was an escape when her father was terminally ill, and how the 1970s was the most emotionally intelligent time for troubadour songwriters.

Wednesday 20th August, 10.30pm - The Janice Long Review Show

It's round two for lead singer of ABC, Martin Fry, OMD's Andy McCluskey and journalist Paul Morley as they discuss The Pet Shop Boys 'Please' and Pulp's 'Different Class'.

Thursday 21st August, 10.30pm - Richard Thompson: My Vintage

The Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter was awarded the Orville H. Gibson award for best acoustic guitar player in 1991 and a lifetime achievement award from BBC Radio in 2006. The long and diverse list of artists who have recorded his compositions includes R.E.M, Elvis Costello, Sandy Denny, The Pointer Sisters, The Futureheads, The Corrs, David Gilmour and many others. Richard Thompson OBE, who made his debut as a member of Fairport Convention in 1967, introduces his favourite 20th century hits, including Kate Bush’s ‘Army Dreamers’, Fred Astaire’s ‘Cheek To Cheek’, Duke Ellington’s ‘Take The A Train’, Nat King Cole’s ‘Route 66’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ amongst others.

Friday 22nd August, 2.00pm - Lisa Stansfield: My Mixtape

Lancashire lass Lisa Stansfield has been ‘All Around the World’ in her musical career. And the singer songwriter shares her influences and inspirations on her My Mixtape selection. Soul classics that get her up and dancing, including Odyssey’s ‘Inside Out’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Don’t Stop’ ‘Til You Get Enough’ feature in her top songs, along with offerings from Barry White and Candi Staton, and a go-to pub juke box number from Marvin Gaye.

Friday 22nd August, 11.00pm - The Vintage TV Sessions

Must-see shows on the Vintage TV calendar, these live sessions offer all the excitement and atmosphere of a gig in your own home. So, sit back and enjoy two songs each, recorded at The Bedford pub in Balham, from indie rockers The Struts, punk princess Toyah Willcox and her band, singer songwriters Josephine and Judie Tzuke, of ‘Stay With Me ‘Til Dawn’ fame , and 80s icon Nik Kershaw. Veteran musician, broadcaster and campaigner Tom Robinson is your esteemed host.

Saturday 23rd August, 7.00pm - Neil McCormick's Needle Time: David Arnold

The name’s Arnold, David Arnold. The composer of film scores including Godzilla, Independence Day and many James Bond movies takes the hot seat this week. Interviewer Neil asks him how he goes about creating a soundtrack for the cinematic exploits of 007, what makes a great Bond song, and how he put together the music for his biggest live event - the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics

Sunday 24th August, 5.00pm - Joan Armatrading: My Vintage

There’s a whole lot of ‘Love and Affection’ in the Vintage TV studio as we welcome the legendary Joan Armatrading and invite her to come up with her all-time top tracks.  The career of the award-winning British singer songwriter and guitarist spans forty years, encompassing rock, pop and blues on her hits including ‘Down to Zero’, ‘Me, Myself, I’ and ‘Drop the Pilot’, so there will be much to draw on in what is sure to be a fascinating favourite song selection for My Vintage.
