The first lady of Celtic music – Irish folk singer songwriter and harpist Moya Brennan of pioneering New Age band Clannad – brings her dulcet tones and fascinating tales of four decades at the forefront of traditional music to Neil’s Needle Time interview show this week. Hear how her roots in remotest Ireland shaped her and her sound, about her link-ups with the likes of Bono and Van Morrison, how she hated the harp at first and how her Gaelic songs were not to everyone’s taste.
