Saturday 5th October, 3.00pm - Broadway Bonanza: Oklahoma! with Maureen Lipman

We pitch up in Oklahoma! this week on our star-studded musicals show to explore this emotion-laden Rodgers & Hammerstein offering in the entertaining company of actress, comedienne and all-round national treasure Maureen Lipman, who played Aunt Eller in the National Theatre revival of the beloved Broadway hit.

 

Sunday 6th October, 5.00pm - Greg Roberts: My Vintage (and Thursday 10th October at 10pm)

British rock drummer Greg Roberts, who was on the sticks for influential band Big Audio Dynamite, blows us away with his top track choices and tells how he used to love glamming up to the likes of Bowie,  how the Kinks really got him and how a Talking Heads record was a once in a lifetime hit with him. 

 

Sunday 6th October, 8.00pm - The Janice Long Review Show (and Wednesday 9th October at 10pm)

Will this week’s esteemed guests on Janice’s album review show – acclaimed singer songwriter Nerina Pallot, John Robb of punk band Goldblade and journalist Paul Sexton - sign up to and salute ‘Armed Forces’ by Elvis Costello, and will Killing Joke’s 1985 post punk offering ‘Night Time’ knock  ‘em dead?

 

Monday 7th October, 4.00pm - Broadway Bonanza: Annie Get Your Gun with Suzi Quatro (and Thursday 10thOctober at 12.15pm and Saturday  12th October at 3pm)

Our Suzi swaps her rock chic strut for a spot of thigh-slapping as she relives her role of sassy sharp-shooter Annie Oakley, star of ‘Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show’, in Irving Berlin’s epic ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, which Chichester Festival Theatre took on tour in 1986 before transferring to the West End and becoming an instant audience hit. 

 

Tuesday 8th October, 10.00pm - Neil McCormick’s Needle Time: Future Vintage (and Saturday 12th October at 7pm)

Neil selects a trio of acclaimed contemporary acts who will surely be tomorrow’s vintage to unpick the musical threads of their lives: Irish alternative rock quartet Kodaline, chart-topping American country music group The Band Perry, and award-winning Australian singer songwriter Gabrielle Cilmi.
